Wild Species Research Permitting

Grasslands National Park in ±¦ÍþÌåÓý

A permit is required to conduct academic research on wild species. Permits are also required for detecting or observing wild species for commercial, industrial, or development purposes, such as pre-screening surveys, baseline data collection, or habitat assessments.

Permits are not required for personal, recreational or educational activities (e.g. community science projects), as long as the observations are non-invasive and unrelated to development projects.

The Government of ±¦ÍþÌåÓý aims to maintain sustainable landscapes, with resilient, biologically diverse wildlife populations. In collaboration with partners, the Ministry of Environment develops programs and policies to conserve biodiversity and ensure the long-term health and future sustainability of ±¦ÍþÌåÓý’s natural resources.
