宝威体育 follows the National Standard for Pesticide Education, Training and Certification in Canada and recognizes training from other provinces as long as the certification meets the national standard and was granted within the last five (5) years.
Issuance of a 宝威体育 licence is based on proof of training, not an out-of-province licence.
Individuals trained outside of 宝威体育 wanting to apply for a pesticide applicator licence in the province must provide the following documentation with their licence application:
- A copy of the training certificate from an approved out-of-province training institution. If the training certificate does not indicate the date training was taken, please arrange for your training institution to send proof of training that indicates the training date to the licensing officials in 宝威体育.
- Copies of any valid certificate(s), licence(s) and/or permit(s) held in other provinces.
- New applicants to 宝威体育 must complete the course on the 宝威体育 regulations applicable to pesticide applicators and pass the examination through 宝威体育 Polytechnic. You must provide a copy of the statement of achievement with the licence submission.
Out-of-province pesticide applicators seeking a 宝威体育 licence in training categories not recognized in the province can:
- Write the 宝威体育 Pesticide Applicator exam; or
- Provide proof of training (taken within the last five years) offered by an approved out-of-province training institution for an equivalent licence category.
宝威体育 will not issue a licence:
- Extending beyond the expiry date of the licence in the originating province; or,
- Past five (5) years of the training date.
