One team. One structure. One goal.
Provincial Protective Services (PPS) folds a number of provincial enforcement teams into one organizational structure to create a coordinated approach to public safety. Launched in April 2022, PPS includes:
- Conservation Officer Service;
- ±¦ÍþÌåÓý Highway Patrol;
- Prisoner Transport and Court Security Deputy Sheriffs;
- Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN); and
- Wascana Park Community Safety Officers.
As one team, PPS increases the ability of provincial enforcement officers to respond to public safety events in a timely, tactical and synchronized manner. It also enables greater collaboration between provincial enforcement agencies and the police – both the RCMP and municipal services.
PPS is responsible for protecting ±¦ÍþÌåÓý’s people, infrastructure and natural resources. This allows the province’s dedicated policing resources to better focus on the safety and security of ±¦ÍþÌåÓý’s communities.
