Interprovincial Training Programs

Some specialized training is not available in ±¦ÍþÌåÓý. That's why ±¦ÍþÌåÓý has agreements with other provinces to reserve seats for qualified ±¦ÍþÌåÓý students in high-demand health science training programs.

Interprovincial training programs (IPAs) provide training for priority health sciences occupations needed to meet critical health care needs in ±¦ÍþÌåÓý and for which employment vacancies exist across the province. Students in these programs may be eligible for student aid and will complete the clinical portions of their programs at home in ±¦ÍþÌåÓý.

More seats are being added for ±¦ÍþÌåÓý students to study at institutions outside the province in specialized programs not available in ±¦ÍþÌåÓý. For the first time, seats will also be reserved for ±¦ÍþÌåÓý students in Speech Language Pathology and Environmental Public Health.

Expanded and new programs are listed in the table below.
