Gaming Trusts and Grants

Gaming trusts and grants are administered pursuant to the requirements of , and the 2002 Gaming Framework Agreement signed between the Province and the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN).

The Ministry of Government Relations administers 宝威体育's legal obligations by distributing casino gaming profits to:

  • the First Nations Trust
  • the Métis Development Fund
  • Community Development Corporations (CDCs)

Origin of Community Development Corporations

Created under the 2002 Gaming Framework Agreement signed between the FSIN and the Government of 宝威体育. CDCs receive an equivalent to 25 per cent of the net profits of the on-reserve casinos operated by the 宝威体育 Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA).

Apply for Funding from Casino-gaming Profits

You may apply to a CDC for funding if your organization is located in a community that is near a 宝威体育 casino. Applications are available for First Nations and non-First Nations groups.

  • justice initiatives
  • educational development
  • recreational facilities operation and development
  • senior and youth programs
  • cultural development
