As outlined in , and , an operator must perform an annulus test at least once every calendar year on all oil and gas injection and disposal wells (suspended and non-active) equipped with a downhole packer.
Completed test data must be recorded on an , and be retained by the operator for five years. The Ministry of Energy and Resources may request a copy of the test data for compliance auditing purposes.
